This Australian Pied Cormorant seemed to think it was a good drying day, spreading its wings wide to dry itself off after some underwater work. The shot was taken in Wilson Reserve, in Melbourne, Australia. It's a lovely spot, with plenty of birdlife on show.
I've been taking photos for many years, having bought my first SLR in 1990. Initially, my camera was something I used to record family holidays, but I'm now able to spend more time on photography for its own sake (and mine!). I love finding new places and things to photograph, whether near home or further afield.
