The surrounding plants provided a lovely soft, pastel coloured background to this macro shot of a bunch of pale yellow phebalium flowers. Phebalium is a genus of Australian native plants, made of a number of species. This example was found in Maranoa Gardens, a wonderful place that's home to all manner of Australian natives. I have to admit that I don;t which species this particular plant is.
I've been taking photos for many years, having bought my first SLR in 1990. Initially, my camera was something I used to record family holidays, but I'm now able to spend more time on photography for its own sake (and mine!). I love finding new places and things to photograph, whether near home or further afield.
