The Queenscliff High Light, one of two lighthouses in the town, presents in near silhouette against an amazing sky at sunset. The lighthouse, which is actually a black lighthouse, one of very few in the world, apparently, stands atop Shortland Bluff (or Shortlands Bluff, or even Shortland's Bluff, depending on who's telling the story) and is used by ships to navigate their way safely into Port Phillip Bay. The Pilot Jetty, used by the Port Phillip Sea Pilots, can be seen in the foreground.
I've been taking photos for many years, having bought my first SLR in 1990. Initially, my camera was something I used to record family holidays, but I'm now able to spend more time on photography for its own sake (and mine!). I love finding new places and things to photograph, whether near home or further afield.
