I watched a couple of grey fantails closely for a while the other day when I was in Melbourne's Wilson Reserve, which allowed me to understood their somewhat hilarious ways. They take off from a tree branch, do a couple of twirls and then come back to land in pretty much the same spot as they started from. Establishing that allowed to me to focus on the starting point and then come up with a reasonable shot when my little friend returned.
I've been taking photos for many years, having bought my first SLR in 1990. Initially, my camera was something I used to record family holidays, but I'm now able to spend more time on photography for its own sake (and mine!). I love finding new places and things to photograph, whether near home or further afield.
