I spotted this white-faced heron (egretta novaehollandiae) the other day. It was completely unfazed as I moved closer and closer - I ended up only around 10 feet away. The species is found around Australasia. My little friend is currently living in the Banyule Flats Reserve, which is in Melbourne, Australia.
I've been taking photos for many years, having bought my first SLR in 1990. Initially, my camera was something I used to record family holidays, but I'm now able to spend more time on photography for its own sake (and mine!). I love finding new places and things to photograph, whether near home or further afield.
