Description
It was windy. A storm was on the way. To this windsurfer that was a beautiful thing. To me, it was also a beautiful thing, but more because he just happened to be brightly lit by a shaft of sunlight so that he stood out from the dark, gloomy background as he raced across the choppy water. The action took place off Green Point Beach, on Port Phillip just south of Melbourne, Australia.

Great shot, I love the natural spotlight on the surfer

Thanks Michaela. Yes, the sun was very accommodating in lighting up my subject for me.

Neil, that’s a great image, but not knowing how to swim it also hits my panic button! Very cool photos, as always. 🌎
Neil Maclachlan replied:
Thanks Jeffery. The thing that terrified me was seeing someone else head into the water in just his bathers, i.e. no wetsuit. It was cold enough out of the water, let alone in it!
